Skrzynski (left) has a rare opportunity to work with
Brother Michael Theis and Brother Ross Cirmino on the Monk's Bread bakery line.
"It was intense. At times [the loaves] were coming out pretty quickly . . .
then falling all over the place," Skrzynski said. "They had to stop the
machines and help me a few times." Trappist monks generate their own revenue,
and the monks at Genesee bake bread to finance the abbey. Skrzynski was one of
four Colgate students who volunteered to work that morning.
