The group takes a moment to inspect a body cast of an individual who perished in the 79 A.D. eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Nate Newton '05 (left) said that seeing the casts provided "a direct link to the past; it helps you remember that this event was real . . . the bodies themselves, even though they're all in grotesque poses, are oddly fascinating." |
