Study

Lawrence Hall |
The year ends with a flurry. Study. Everywhere. Any time. The acquisition of knowledge
requires effort and hours, and judgement day awaits with its demands of familiarity and
understanding. Then the scale tips, the old balance is skewed. Work hard, study harder. In
quiet or a crowd, the application of the mind, the quest to know, is paramount. Time
becomes precious, the idle moments before a lecture are filled with study. Study overtakes
recreation, cultural pursuits, even social moments. "Id like to, but I have to
study." The flurry subsides with a sigh, a breather, and then another semester with
more to study. JH |
