Honorary Degrees

Eliot Spitzer, attorney general of New York state and candidate for governor, will deliver the keynote address at Colgate University’s 185th commencement exercises Sunday, May 21.

Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz, professor of ethics and theology at Drew University in Madison, N.J., will give the baccalaureate sermon.
Walter Massey, a physicist, educator and former president of the National Science Foundation, is the ninth president of Morehouse College. Massey’s work as a researcher has involved the study of quantum liquids and solids, but his interests include the teaching of science and math education, the education of minorities, and the role of science in a democratic society.
Alfred Audi ’60 is president of L. and J. G. Stickley furniture company, a leading retailer with a history of quality craftsmanship that is headquartered in Manlius, N.Y. Since taking over his family’s business in 1974, Audi has revived it from an ailing company with 22 employees and annual sales of $270,000, to the thriving company it is today, with more than 1,600 employees. Audi is a philanthropist and business leader dedicated to Colgate University and central New York. 
Aminy Inati Audi is president of Stickley, Audi & Co., the retail division of L. and J. G. Stickley, overseeing marketing, public relations, and showroom development. She serves on the State University of New York (SUNY) Board of Trustees, and as co-chair of SUNY’s international studies division. She has been a representative to the United Nations World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna and to the Women’s World Conference in Beijing.
