Several changes to the commencement weekend schedule will be implemented starting in May 2009. The new schedule is available here.
The commencement ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 17, in Sanford Fieldhouse. The ceremony will be followed by a reception for students, their families, and faculty members.
Doors to Sanford Fieldhouse will open at 9 a.m.. Each senior can reserve up to 5 tickets for family and friends. (Details about online ticket reservations will be sent to students.)Tickets, which are free, are for general admission seating only. During Finals Week, graduates can pick up their reserved tickets and graduation robes at the Colgate Bookstore. Any extra tickets will be made available through a lottery system, with details to be released at a later date. Family and friends will also be able to watch the commencement ceremony through closed circuit viewing at several locations on campus
Baccalaureate will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, in Memorial Chapel.
The awards convocation, which has traditionally been held at the end of the spring semester, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16.
