The Academic Program
Colgate's curriculum includes a wide range of study opportunities in the arts and sciences.  It is structured to provide a well-rounded liberal education and to prepare students for graduate and professional schools.  The faculty's function is to guide and direct students' efforts to acquire appropriate skills, develop a sense of critical judgment, and master a body of knowledge.  By taking the initiative for their own education at Colgate, students become more effective participants in the learning process which continues past college.
